Make A Decision 🩵

If you've been reading my emails or social posts, you know that this year, I've committed to walking at least one mile daily. It has been the most life-changing commitment and decision I've made.

This morning, I encouraged my subscribers to take time away with God this season and experience a Sabbath with Him. I encouraged them to seek God on what that Sabbath would look like.

So, I decided to do the same. On my job, we have a beautiful trail, and when I can take a break, I take full advantage of it for my daily walks. As I walked today, I asked God to show me what my Sabbath with Him would look like today.

I eventually decided to do a restorative yoga session. My mind was at ease, and so I sat down to journal with God on a bench that was placed right in the view of some mingling ducks. This was my Sabbath. 🩵

In this place, I felt immense peace and I wrote about the peace of just being there in that place and communing with what my Father had created.

I realized life is much simpler than what we as humans can sometimes make it. We are often wondering what we can do, if we are doing enough, and comparing our level of effort to the efforts we are seeing. God has graced each of us with a task, and when we're out of breath constantly carrying out that task, He's either building our strength or we're carrying something that He hasn't called us to take. Determining which, will be the portion you will have to seek God to truly understand.

I'm a confessed overthinker, and I also desire to know the whole picture and details of every instruction my Father gives me.

Today, as I sat with God, this was my takeaway. I pray it blesses you as it blessed me.

Just Being, by Jeanice Durrah

Make the decision. The thing we keep thinking about. The item we keep circling. Make a decision and stick to it. Final decisions keep our minds from spinning in stagnancy. It's time to leave this mountain and move forward.
